Here we go again! After taking the hard road to the big dance this year, the boys have made it, by defeating a spirited Mt Kembla team on a very boggy & heavy track. Given the conditions it really evened up the contest by limited our speed & wider attacking options. Having said that it was our fitness that brought us home.

The boys went into the sheds at halftime with a 6 point lead & up until the 60th minute it was still anybody's game, then the Norths Boys really put the foot down & the flood gates opened up! With our Captain/Coach leading his men around the park & bagging a double, the side looked calm & in control.

During the week last weeks game hardly got a mention, as a group we all knew what needed to change, what goals that we needed to achieve & to execute our game plan. Well the boys did that & did it well. Our completion rate was much better, our support play was excellent & the lads really muscled up, with some solid tackles!

Players Player awards:

1. Brad Morrin: They say the good players shine in big games...well this could not be more true! Brad has set an excellent example for the Norths engine room & was on fire once again.

2. Nathan Potter: Mr Reliable, The Fat as he is known has been an excellent addition to the Norths Roster for 2014, a solid competitor the Fat was in everything! And can kick goals!!

3. Luke THE MOOSE Shiels: The boys all grow another leg when this bloke fires up! When he's on, he is ON!! Excellent defence, hard tough running game & really good things off the ball.

This week for the boys the theme is: FUN!!! There is NO pressure, NO expectation & NO expected outcome for this weekend. It is all about each & everyone of you enjoying the experience & putting in your best performance on the day. The hard work has been done, all that is left is to turn up & play for each other. NO other reason, forget the Club, forget Mum, Dad, Wives or Friends watching...it's ALL ABOUT YOU.
